Coverage can be extended to cover customers goods prior and after shipment in warehouses as well as during the course of ordinary transit. We also understand that clients in certain situations might need to seek insurance for single shipments not catered for under annual open covers and therefore encourage clients to use our platform to request spot certificates after which can be downloaded from our platform by the clients themselves.

Freight Forwarders Liability

The legal responsibility of the freight forwarder or logistics handler for damage to their customers goods under the domestic and international conventions governing limits of liability. Coverage can be extended also to cover costs and expenses incurred by the shipper due to errors and omissions of the Insured or their sub-contractors. A further coverage which might be required in certain specific situations is up lifted contractual liability whereby an insured is requested by there client to accept responsibility for a higher limit than that foreseen under standard liability conventions. This last coverage is naturally offered on a tailor made basis.

Carriers Liability

The legal liability of the haulage company for damage to clients goods irrespective if they are operating as main contractors or working as sub-contractors for freight forwarders or logistics handlers. The international conventions limits are the same as those covered under the freight forwarders liability coverage relating however to damage to customers goods only. Carrier’s liability protects the haulage company from recourse carried both by the shipper and or the freight forwarder.
